Frequently Asked Questions Glossary of common terms New Player Guides & More Platinum User Flair Message the moderators Subreddit Rules r/deadbydaylight is a community run subreddit dedicated to Dead by Daylight, an asymmetrical multiplayer (4 vs 1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the Killer, and the other four players play as the Survivors. I usually don't stay near the hook unless I have some hints that somebody might be already looking for unhooking (BBQ helps with "missing" auras), but meh, sometimes they don't even give me time to go away before the unhook, I just turn back and I clearly have them in line of sight, not even need the scrathes to check.7th Anniversary Event Thread | LIVE: 7.0.2 | Bugfix Patch | June 7th Dev Team AMA | Year 7 Anniversary Broadcast Megathread | Welcome Might be harsh and unfair, but 90% of the times always starts from an unsafe hook and/or bad decision afterwards. Chasing and downing for unsafe hooks always the same guy it is not fun for him, but increases killer's chances to "win". At that point if unhooked guy is dumb enough it is just a matter of time for a second hook.Īnd at the end, actually it is strategy to go after the unhooked guy, as killer goal is to put an end to the game before they escape. In another game happened similar, where which I actually sacrificed everybody, while in another I encountered a really good SWF in which everybody escaped.Īlso true that sometimes happens that unhooked guy just tries to hide near the hook, killer go check if see anyones and actually hears the grunts of the injured state. I mean, come on, I see 3 people around the hook and you want me to follow you? Ended they never did another gen and only 1 escaped by the hatch. Many times today I found SWF groups where they do 3 gens at the time I down first one, than go overaltruistic each other and focus on unhooks rather than doing gens, one time happened to me to see 2 guys unhooking and the 4th one standing by a near wall trying to catch my attention. You should be mad at the fellow survivors for unhooking you when it wasn't safe, or not doing the gens while the killer hung out at the hook. Is there any actual, logical reason beyond the fact that you just don't want to get downed? Originally posted by SolidusPrime:Can any survivors even describe WHY it's a "♥♥♥♥ move" though? Just curious. ![]()
